Lancashire Khan "Evie" Blazing Fury "Monza"  =  Serhan's Passion "Marion"  FCC/ AOC

Please note that Serhan's Passion "Marion" FCC /AOC was flowered by and is the property of the fabulous golfer and grower - George Serhan.

The Blazing Fury cross rates as one of the best red crosses ever. We have used other Blazing Fury varieties in addition to Blazing Fury "Monza" as parents.

Blazing Fury " Hades" has given many fine results including (Blazing Fury x Lunakira) "Flasher"

From the cross of Blazing Fury "Hades" with Tathra "Dark Beauty" AD/ AOC we have had some pleasing results for colour eg.

Meanwhile    Blazing Fury "Scarlet"   is giving beautiful red and brown progeny.

Please Note: The red colour in Cymbidiums is due to a group of pigments called anthocyanins. Environmental factors affecting anthocyanin production include light (intensity and wavelength, with blue and UV being most effective), temperature, water and carbohydrate levels, and the concentrations of the elements nitrogen, phosphorous and boron in the growth medium. Anthocyanin production can be induced by light, blue being the most effective colour. Other plant pigments that contribute to flower colour are carotene (creates orange to yellow colours); chlorophyll (creates green colours); xanthophyll (creates other yellow colours) and tannins (the brown colour after the other colours have disappeared from leaves.)
